Saturday 1/22

I got to the gym in time to do a Team WOD w/ 3 other guys... it was fun, but not a huge challenge. So then I took on what looked to be a MONSTER of a WOD. The 2 people that had done it had times over 50 mins. I wasnt really sure how bad it would be... but it is rare to see times near an hour for a WOD.

(two teams from CL, taking 2nd and 3rd place)

Ok, so here it is:
With a #40 vest, complete 4 rounds of

10 tire flip jump thru
20 pushups
30 sit ups
40 squats
50 sledge hammer hits

after you flip the tire, jump into it, then jump out of it = 1 rep
no landing on the side of the tire, jump must be two feet

sledge hammer hits must be inside the 3'' circle - or no REP! and the sledge must pass over head.

I have never had 40 pounds in the vest before... it was heavy. The tire flip wasnt bad but jumping, that was! and getting in wasnt bad but jumping out was really hard b/c you had to go straight up to get out of it, plus then forward 18 to 22'' to get over it.

I no rep'd my self a bunch on the sledge strikes, they were hard to be consistent, especially with your off hand. and you had to go kind of slow to maintain accuracy.
Over all, great WOD, really challenging but definitely do-able.

time: 32:53

I think I added about 6 pounds of sweat to the weight vest!
